The Jiake (G-Ah-Kay) M7 is a super-budget smartphone from the far east. It has a 5.5 inch screen at 960×540 (not as bad as it sounds!), 1.2ghz dual-core cpu and sadly only 512mb ram
It is adequate for many basic tasks amd even SOME streaming, but many of the services available such as Netflix, BTSport and even TVCatchup, are unusable due to stuttering and constant freezing. I believe this is due to poor management of the limited ram available. UK IPTV worked well enough though as does YouTube.
Software is typically of the MiUI-esque variety found on countless generic Chinese handsets, icons set in overly colourful rounded squares and basic jellybean interface (although this claims to be 4.4 KitKat.
The highlight of the handset is the rotating camera, rarely seen since the Oppo N1 in late 2013 except its not motorized or of much quality being only 2 megapixel interpolated to 5 megapixels.
